Sixth seed Sumit Nagal beat wild card Jiri Lehecka 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals of the €137,560 Challenger tennis tournament on clay in Prague on Wednesday.
The 127th ranked Sumit will play top-seed and former world No.3 Stan Wawrinka who beat Oscar Otte after losing the first set.
There was a 100% success for the Indians in doubles, as three pairs, featuring Divij Sharan, Sriram Balaji and Nagal moved into the quarterfinals.
Top seed, Divij Sharan in partnership with Robin Haase cruised past local wild cards. Balaji in partnership with Kimmer Coppejans ousted second seeds Andres Molteni and Hugo Nys 10-6 in the super tie-break. Nagal with Ilya Ivashka of Belarus knocked out third seeds Artem Sitak and Igor Zelenay 10-8 in the match tie-break.
