A Landmark , 72nd National Track Cycling Championships came to an end at the Osmania University Velodrome at Hydrabad, Telengana , Hosted by Telengana Cycling Association. Landmark in many ways, A record of records was set as the more than 550 Riders from all across the country set the track on fire smashing a record 14 National Records across categories .

Secondly , this was the first National Track Championships to be listed as an UCI Class event and listed on the world calender and the Indian Riders accumulated the crucial UCI points. The performance of the riders reinterated the fact that Indian Cycling is now on the rise and a force to recon with.

This has all been made possible with Joint efforts of Cycling Federation of India , the State Units/Boards , Sports Authority of India and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India. The Indian Cyclists deserve a huge standing Ovation for a spectacular performance .
