GT vs CSK pitch report

The renowned MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as Chepauk Stadium, in Chennai is a cricket ground known for providing an equal opportunity for both batsmen and bowlers. The pitch at this stadium offers even bounce, creating favourable conditions for stroke play and enabling batsmen to execute their shots with relative ease.

Considering the nature of the pitch, teams winning the toss are expected to opt for chasing the target set by the opposing team. If we see the top 10 wicket-takers at the Chepauk Stadium, only one of them is a pacer – Kapil Dev. Slow bowlers have taken 38 wickets so far in IPL 2023. Medium pacers have taken 24 wickets in the tournament so far while faster bowlers have secured 16 wickets in the stadium as of now.
