The Heat continue to shock the basketball world, this time by stealing Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 123-116 win over the Celtics.

“Playoff Jimmy” Butler made an appearance at TD Garden on Wednesday, finishing with 35 points on 12-of-25 shooting to go along with seven assists, six steals, and five rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists while four other members of the Heat added 15 points.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum led the way with 30 points but shot just 2 of 4 from the field in the second half. Marcus Smart dished a game-high 11 assists to go along with 13 points.

The game turned in the third quarter, when Miami outscored Boston 46-25 to take a 12-point lead into the final frame. Despite comeback attempts from the Celtics, the Heat held on for a crucial road win to open the series.
