Deepika Kumari moves forward to the Round of 16 after defeating Jennifer Mucino-Fernandez of USA in a nerve chilling match of Archery-Women’s Individual- Round of 32 event at #Tokyo2020

India’s Pooja Rani Bohra defeated Algerian boxer Ichrak Chaib by 5-0 to enter the QF in the 75 kg category.

  • Badminton: PV Sindhu wins in straight games, to face Mia Blichfeldt in R16. Sai Praneeth, already eliminated, loses in his final match.
  • Archery: Deepika Kumari through to round of 16. Tarundeep Rai, Pravin Jadhav bowed out in the round of 32.
  • Pooja Rani (boxing) through to the quarterfinal.
  • Hockey: Indian lose 4-1 against GBR.
  • Rowing: Arvind Singh/Arjun Jat Lal finish sixth in semi-final B.
