He kicked off the year with impressive wins at Diamond League events in Doha [88.67m] and Lausanne [87.66m]. However, the crowning achievement came at the World Championships, where he threw a season’s best of 88.77m in the qualifying round and secured the gold with an 88.17m throw in the final.
